Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers with Pasta
Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10:15AM Most moms like me are trying to find a way to get the kids to eat their veggies. Well in my case I also have to convince myself to eat more veggies. So I was all for trying Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers with Pasta, and seeing if they got both me and the kids to eat more veggies.
More information on the new Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers with Pasta:
Making meal time easier than ever, Green Giant has introduced vegetables with pasta and savory sauces to their already convenient and tasty line-up of Valley Fresh Steamers frozen mixes.
New Valley Fresh Steamers Vegetables with Pasta varieties include:
Macaroni and Cheese Sauce with Broccoli - classic elbow pasta and broccoli in a mouthwatering cheese sauce
Pasta and Vegetables with Alfredo Sauce – delicious corkscrew pasta with carrots and broccoli in a savory Alfredo sauce
Wow these are really good and really easy to make. They really are a super simple side dish. The kids (except Carly) and I personally love the Macaroni and Cheese Sauce with Broccoli it really tastes great you forget all about the Broccoli part. I could not get Carly to try it but see does not like either broccoli or mac and cheese no joke a kid that does not like mac and cheese. She is so picky : (
The rest of us loved them.
You find them in the freezer isle with other frozen veggies. Again I cannot mention enough how quick and easy they are to make you pop the whole bag in the microwave and about 6-8 minutes later they are ready to serve. This is huge deal for me cooking a meal for five is intense anyways so I am all for easy, and quick options. I would for sure recommend trying them out for an easy tasty side dish!

I try to serve the ones they like - like green beans - or put seasoning or sauce on them. :) thanks for the giveaway!

My children are grown but I usually put Butter Spray on vegetables.

I put some shredded cheese on the top.
I try to serve them IN something else I know they do like! (And I don't really give them much of a choice, to be honest!) :)

I've never had any trouble with them eating their veggies they just do it.

They help me to make the vegetables and are more likely to eat them. Give them funny names and they will eat it.

I let my son dip veggies in ketchup and ranch dressing.
Tell them if they want to be big and strong like Dad they have to
By dipping them in ranch dressing
I usually have to put melted cheese on the vegies for the kids to eat them
I put a little cheese or butter on it.
I bribe them with a good dessert afterward.
It helps that they are grown in the backyard and the little ones harvest the ripe vegetables!
