Five Lessons Every Kid Should Learn!
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 1:10PM So as a mom of a 3 year old and 4 old and soon to be newborn. I am trying to teach the kids every day how to be a good person and build a foundation. So far I think, I am on the right track, but I am always learning lessons myself and adding or changing my ways.
1. Be kind and considerate to others! This is really important too me. I want my kids to treat everyone with kindness, I also want them to treat people equal and not judge others for appearance or what they have.
2. Responsible for Actions! I think this is really important, Jack just learned a lesson in this when he broke his sisters doll stroller on purpose. I made him apologize and give his sister something of his, because she was so upset.
3. Stranger Danger! I think kids need to know that not everyone is safe and has good intentions. Beware of who's around you, right now it is do not talk to a stranger without mommy or daddy beside you.
4. Money! The kids are learning that things cost money and too get money you have to work. I have started them with an allowance for small chores like helping me pick up.
5. Education! Jack is fixing to start preschool and Carly might as well, we already do things at home. I always want them to take it serious and understand all the doors that it can open for you.
What are some of the lessons you are teaching your kids?
