Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 11:33AM Ten tips for saving money during the back-to-school season!
- Make a list of everything you need, get the list from the school.
- Get a Sunday paper and set out all the inserts. I really like the office stores ads they usually have free items and items for 9 cents.
- Match up your list to the best sales in the inserts.
- Take two or three weeks if you have the time the Deals change because one item is not on sale now does not mean it will not be next week.
- Check the Sunday paper for coupons so far, I have got coupons for tape, scissors, and binders.
- Look online for coupons, I have got coupons for pens and post it notes so far making both items free.
- Follow coupon blogs, I follow Thrifty Northwest and Deal Seeking Mom, both have provided lots of deals and the location of the coupons.
- Buy extras for through the year, because the price goes back up and kids sometimes need extra pens and paper throughout the year.
- If the list is large or multiple kids prioritize the list.
10. Also don’t forget to check out the bargain clearance bins you might score some items of your list that way.
