I buy a lot of frozen meals. I try not to use them too much, but glad to have them in a pinch. Trader Joe's has some good pasta and chicken dishes. I agree with the crock pot. Especially with my oldest in school, it is (almost) always possible to put something together in the morning that will be ready for dinner time.
One of our favorite quick family meals is grilled cheese and tomato soup. It's always a family pleaser and is fairly quick to make. It's easy to add healthy sides to it like apples or bananas.
We fall back on easy meals grilled cheese, mashed potatoes topped with a can of chili topped with corn. Great tips though. I always try to plan a weekly menu, and even by the food for it, but as the week goes by not everything gets made.
I like your blog. Found you on Mom Bloggers Follower Group. I'm now following and looking forward to reading more.
I love my Crock Pot too. It's so handy on busy days.
I also like the "make-ahead-and-freeze" method. The preparing of meals takes awhile, but it is so nice to have a stash of meals waiting in the freezer. :)
