What are your Thanksgiving Traditions?

I have another fun blog post/contest from Twitter Moms to share! Twitter Moms and Target are hosting a contest! You simply have to tell us three Thanksgiving traditions you are or are planning on passing down to your children.

For us we do the following:

1. We watch the parades and football together, and snack on breakfast foods with the parade and leftovers with football! Until were stuffed. 


2. Food wise we always have to have chocolate pie and homemade pumpkin pie with tons and tons of whip cream! I am hungry just thinking about it!


3. Last we have a special bound book we purchased years ago. Like a journal that everyone must write a page in at dinner time about what they are thankful for and what they are looking forward too. It is a little time capsule we all love. Well except my brother it seems he has a new girlfriend every year and they are never happy with reading his past entry's of how he was thankful for the last girlfriend!

What Scent Defines you?

I have a fun post to share with you. Downy and TwitterMoms want to know, "If you could define yourself with a scent, what scent would represent you and why?"


My scent would be, well I am not sure maybe we could combine my favorite scents like orange I love fruity smells, vanilla I love using vanilla it just gives me a good mood vibe or that is the treats it is in when I am baking, peppermint it helps me with my headaches, leather I have no idea why I just love the smell of leather, and jasmine it makes me want to go outside and take in the fresh air. Ok on second thought that might not come out so good. So maybe jasmine and vanilla, or vanilla and orange.

Living Green!

Is your family going green? My family is working really hard on being green. I must admit I was the furthest thing from green until I met my husband Chris. Chris I think was born green. I am enjoying becoming green and trying to raise green children. I really love green company's and all the innovative products and ideas they come up with. For example twitter moms recently introduced me to LighterSaferGreener.com they make sunglasses out of our recycled materials. 
 
I wanted to share with you a few ways we our green in the Reynold's family:

• We do not use paper towels (replaced with skoy), paper plates or cups.
• We always use reusable bags when shopping many stores give great discounts now.
• We of course recycle all of our garbage we possibly can!
• We have switched to green cleaning products it is better for our family and the environment!
• We buy our clothes from resale shops (saves on budget too)!
• Chris is becoming a Wind Turbine Technician a green job for a green soul!
